Raymond L. Kopetsky, age 76, of Two Rivers, died Saturday morning, June 18, 2022, with family by his side, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Raymond was born on September 22, 1945, in Two Rivers, a son of the late Leo and Clara (Ozga) Kopetsky. He graduated from Kewaunee High School with the Class of 1963, studied automobile mechanics at the Trade School Institute and served in the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. On September 14, 1968, he married Marjorie Delsmann at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Francis Creek. The last 25 years of his employment was spent in appliance repair for General Electric Co. Ray enjoyed gardening and working on the farm and was a fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include his wife: Marjorie; his children: David (Diona) Kopetsky of Two Rivers, Tim Kopetsky of Appleton, Brenda Steffens (Thomas Hubbard) of Rhinelander and Christine Kosiorek of Appleton; his grandsons: Nathaniel and Benjamin Kopetsky and their mother, Tracy Kopetsky and two step granddaughters: Cierra and Madisyn Coldren. He is further survived by a brother: Dale (Kathy) Kopetsky; sister: Mary Ann (Glenn) Zimmer; sister-in-law: Janet Paszkiewicz and brother-in-law: Raymond Delsmann; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Ben and Emily Delsmann; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery to be held at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church on Friday morning, June 24, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
