Robert B. Koenig

Robert B. Koenig, age 84, longtime resident of Two Rivers, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 17, 2022 and is now at home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Bob was born in Denmark on July 5, 1937 to Eli and Evelyn (Jensen) Koenig and attended school in Denmark. On December 27, 1958, he was united in marriage to Alice A. Swagel in Kewaunee. She preceded him in death on October 3, 2017. Bob retired at the age of 64 after many years of service with the Mirro Corporation, and after retirement worked part-time for several years at Napa Auto Parts. In prior years, he also was employed as a worker in the construction of the Two Creeks and Kewaunee Nuclear Plants. He enjoyed hunting, and all sports, especially the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Braves and Brewers. Bob and his brother, Harold started attending Packer Games at the Old City Stadium in the early 1950's. He always looked forward to spending time with his family, especially seeing his grandkids and great-grandkids.

Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Casper and Jenny Koenig of Two Rivers; daughter & son-in-law, Cindy and Michael Reuter of Waukesha; three grandsons: Adam (Alicia) Koenig, Matthew Koenig, Brandon (Ali) Koenig; and seven great-grandchildren. He is further survived by one brother, Harold (Christine) Koenig of DePere; one brother-in-law, Wenzel (Emily) Swagel of Kewaunee; and one sister-in-law, Sharon Swagel of Luxemburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Evelyn Koenig; his wife, Alice; one brother-in-law, Alvin Swagel; and one sister-in-law, Gladys Swagel.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2022 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers. Pastor Mark Brunn will officiate at the service, with burial to follow in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels after 9:30 a.m. Friday until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
