Ronald L. Messman

Ronald L. Messman, age 79, of the Town of Two Rivers, passed away unexpectedly at home of natural causes on Saturday, April 9, 2022.

Ronald was born in Two Rivers on September 11, 1942, to Alfred and Alma (Schultz) Messman. He was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church on October 11, 1942, and confirmed March 25, 1956. He graduated with the class of 1960 from Two Rivers Washington High School. Ronald married Connie Engelbrecht on September 10, 1966 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Two Rivers.

As a farmer, Ron loved the outdoors and everything it provided. Even many years after retiring from dairy farming, his favorite place to be was outside or on a tractor working on his land or helping out a neighbor. In his free time, he enjoyed All Wisconsin Sports, playing cards with his friends, and a nice fish fry. Most important to him was church on Sunday, and valuable time spent with his children and grandchildren.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Connie; three sons: Jeffrey Messman of West Allis, James (Amy) Messman of New Berlin, Tom (Kellie) Messman of Wausau; seven grandchildren: Corbin & Grant Messman; Lucy & Reagan Messman; and Lauren, Lily & Brock Messman. He is further survived by his brother & sister-in-law, Richard and Betty Messman of Two Rivers; brother-in-law, Allen LeClair of Appleton; sister-in-law, Janet Engelbrecht of Two Rivers; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Alma Messman; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Walter and Evelyn (Benthein) Engelbrecht; one sister, Marilyn LeClair; and by three brothers-in-law & two sisters-in-law: Glenn Engelbrecht, Harlan (Brenda) Engelbrecht, and Darlene (Lester) Hoeffner.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3607 45th Street, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Rev. David Arndt, with entombment in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. John's Lutheran Church, Thursday morning from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation.
