Rose Mary Koch, age 81, resident of Two Rivers, passed away Tuesday morning, June 7, 2022 at the Northland Lodge, with her family at her side.
Rose Mary was born in Green Bay on July 4, 1940, to Milton and Kathryn (Hershman) Kratz. She was a 1958 graduate of St. Joseph's Academy in Green Bay, then furthered her education to earn a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Rose Mary taught for a few years in the Waukesha Public School System before accepting a teaching position with Holy Cross Catholic School in Mishicot. After several years of teaching, she remained a stay-at-home mom, raising her family. She later worked at many of the area schools as a substitute teacher. Rose Mary was united in marriage to Claude V. Koch on August 3, 1974 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Green Bay. The couple was blessed with 47 years of marriage.
Rose Mary was an avid Chicago Cubs fan; and enjoyed baking, ironing, and sewing for family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Claude Koch; three children: Sarah Koch of Oregon, Wisconsin, Margaret (Mike) Ryan of Mukwonago, Philip Koch of Two Rivers; and two grandchildren, Jimmy and Kate Ryan. She is further survived by two brothers and two sisters: Richard "Bucky" Kratz of Illinois, David (Jan) Kratz, Barbara Kratz, and Bonnie (Ted) Phernetton, all of Green Bay; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Kathryn Kratz; one brother, Rev. Conrad (Jerry) Kratz; and one sister-in-law, Betty Kratz.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2022 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. Two Rivers. The Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by Rev. Timothy Shillcox, O.Praem and Rev. William G. O'Brien, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Monday morning from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Sunday evening visitation.
