Shirley A. Puls

Shirley A. Puls, age 87, a longtime Two Rivers resident, died Thursday night, October 17, 2024, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
Shirley was born on January 21, 1937, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Ervin and Lucile (Sachse) Holtz. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1955. On October 25, 1958, she married Howard Puls in Manitowoc, he preceded her in death on January 15, 2006. Shirley was employed at Mirro Aluminum Co. and Hamilton Mfg. Co. She followed all sports activities with Howard, enjoyed bowling, reading and playing cards, watching the Packers, Cubs and Brewers and traveling with Howard. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church for over 50 years.
Survivors include her sisters-in-law: Frannie Puls, Janice Puls, and Kay Puls and Lynn Holtz; nieces and nephews: Kim Puls, Kris Watier, John Puls and Tammy (Vern) Triggs. She is further survived by special friends: Mary (Kozlowski) and Mel Erickson and Carol Koeser; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law: Ken and Grace Holtz; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Fred and Cordelia Puls; four brothers-in-law: Fritz Puls, Leo Puls, John Puls and Roland Puls.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1921 Adams St., Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Heather Yerion-Keck with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Calvary Lutheran Church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation.
Memorials in Shirley’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
