Tom Johnson

Thomas F. "Tom" Johnson, age 66, lifelong resident of Two Rivers, passed away peacefully early Tuesday, November 19, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Tom was born in Two Rivers on March 17, 1958 to Catherine (Schultz) Johnson and the late Francis Johnson. He attended Two Rivers Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1977 from Washington High School. On November 5, 1983 he was united in marriage to Ellen J. Dixon at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Over the years, Tom was employed with Steinhauer Masonry, Manitowoc Shipbuilding, and retired from Manitowoc Ice after 30 years of service. Tom loved trap shooting at West Shore Sportsman's Club where he was a longtime, life member; he enjoyed hunting and fishing; and was a member of the 100 Grand Club. He also liked to cook and grill-out, and loved spending time with his grandkids.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Johnson; son & daughter-in-law, Kurt and Jenny Johnson of Manitowoc; daughter & son-in-law, Jena and Paul Rahmlow of Francis Creek; four grandchildren: Lydia, Drew, Fynn, and Jonathon; and his mother, Catherine Johnson of Two Rivers. He is further survived by two sisters & a brother: Linda (John) Satterburg, Bob (Martha) Johnson, all of Two Rivers, and Barbara (Tommy) Kysar of Alaska; one sister-in-law, Judy (Tim) Smith of Sturgeon Bay; and his Black Lab, "Rudy"; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Johnson; an infant son; and his father-in-law & mother-in-law, David and Eleanor Dixon.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Dave Pleier, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Tuesday, December 3rd from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation.
