Veronica "Ronnie" Blahnik

Veronica E. "Ronnie" Blahnik, age 85, of Two Creeks, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, December 19, 2021 at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Veronica was born on May 20, 1936 to George and Mary (Shefchik) Treml. She graduated with the class of 1955 from Luxemburg-Casco High School. On June 20, 1959, she married the love of her life, Eugene (Gene) Blahnik at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Luxemburg. The couple enjoyed over 60 years together before Gene preceded her in death on April 8th, 2020.

Ronnie was a homemaker all her life. She loved gardening; her flower beds; and watching the birds, especially the cardinals. She also enjoyed collecting a variety of things which included teddy bears and owls.

Veronica is survived by three children: Mary Jo (Lloyd) Hansen, Robert Blahnik, and Mark (Dawn) Blahnik; and two grandchildren: Brittany and Phoenix. She is further survived by many brothers, sisters & in-laws: Joanne Treml, Pat Lufter, Mary Davister, Rita DeGrave, Terry (Bill) Jerabek, Kay (Gary) Grunwald, Ben (Barb) Treml, Victor (Linda) Treml, Mark (Cindy) Treml, Roland (Jean) Treml; and brother-in-law, John Shutter; along with numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Treml; her husband, Gene Blahnik; one brother, Paul Treml; one sister, Regina "Reggie" Shutter; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Edward and Sybil Blahnik; and three brothers-in-law: Butch Lufter, Dale Davister, and Darky DeGrave.

Private family services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. Rev. Dennis Drury will preside at the Mass of Christian Burial, assisted by pastoral associate, Christal Wavrunek. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
