Violet "Bunnie" (Nee Martens) Olson

Violet (Bunnie) Olson, age 99, passed away on August 30, 2023 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

She was born in Spencer, Wisconsin on February 16, 1924 daughter of Daniel and Edna (Bein) Martens. She attended a rural country grade school and graduated from Spencer High School. Her marriage on May 23, 1941, was to LaVerne (Pat) Olson, who preceded her in death on August 6, 1973. Violet was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Two Rivers. Violet could manage many circumstances, and was very good at many things, but she was best at being a MOM.

She had been employed at Stegemann's Sentry Food store until her retirement in 1987. She then enjoyed volunteering at Hamilton House and Holy Family Memorial Medical Center Gift Shop. Her favorite pastimes included traveling, card games, dancing, bowling and just being with friends.

Besides her husband and parents, Violet was preceded in death by a son, Robert, and a daughter, Nancy. Her siblings and their spouses had also predeceased her: Raymond and Harriette Martens, and Roy and Viven Martens, Arlie and Cliff Grover.

Surviving her are daughter: Sandra Morris, and sister-in-law, Gladys Frome, along with nieces, nephews and special friends.

A Christian service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be designated to St. John's Lutheran Church and School, 3607 45th Street, Two Rivers, Wisconsin 54241.
