Wayne John Hansen

Wayne John Hansen, age 81, of Two Rivers, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Wayne was born on April 19, 1941, in Denmark, a son of the late Alvin and Viola (Nelsen) Hansen. On July 24, 1965, Wayne married Audrey Schultz at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He worked at Stangel’s in the sausage department for several years and then at Clem Becker Meats for many years until his retirement in 2005. Wayne was a great husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, watching the Packers and watching his old western movies.
Survivors include his wife: Audrey Hansen, Two Rivers; two daughters and sons-in-law: Cathy (Russ) Soukup, Two Rivers and Tammy (Tom) Schauer, Plymouth; two sons and a daughter-in-law: David (Sherri) Hansen, Manitowoc and Mike Hansen and his significant other, Karla Wood, Manitowoc; eight grandchildren: Sara (Brandon) Toman, Emily Soukup, Sophia Soukup, Megan (Jake) Owen, Marissa Schisel and her fiancé, Logan Michalek, Kendra Hansen and her significant other, Tyler Herman, Breanna Hansen and Ali Hansen. He is further survived by one sister: Gigi (Wayne) Kurth; and three sisters-in-law: Sharon (Ron) Levash, Lynn Skarvan and Bonnie Hansen; along with other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Daniel and Thelma Schultz; three brothers: Alvin Hansen, Roger Hansen and Jerry Hansen; sister-in-law: Lois Hansen; brother-in-law: Mike Skarvan and a grandson: Matthew Schisel.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2022, at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Paul Gleichner with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 12, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. There will be no Sunday evening visitation.
